Head of Localisation at Monese
Giulia’s career started in multilingual journalism & copywriting. A native-level speaker of Italian, English and Spanish, fluent in German and French, and learning Russian, she is the Head of Localisation at London-based fintech company Monese. She has spent the past 11 years advising venture-backed series B-C start-ups on international expansion and on how to set up the entire multilingual delivery cost-effectively and to a high quality. A self-described language geek on a mission to change the way companies conceive of localisation, she has developed a visionary approach that goes way beyond translation as we know it and that saw her winning the Process Innovation Challenge at LocWorld Portugal 2019. One of her major achievements includes having built the team and implemented systems and processes to take a top social network from 1 to 43 languages in 180 markets and with 418 million users.
